At this time of year
the Jewish people celebrate their Passover holiday. This is to remember
the deliverance of the Israelites from Egyptian bondage. The blood of a
lamb painted on the door posts of their homes caused death to pass over
them.
We
as Christians should also think of this time of year as our deliverance
from bondage. The bondage of sin. Jesus was our passover lamb. With his
blood death passes over us. His sacrifice and suffering delivers us.
Because He suffered we don't have to if we will repent and obey His commandments and teachings.
With His blood He freed us also from physical and spiritual death.
HE IS RISEN !
